3 Tricks For Beautiful Beach Waves

Hello gorgeous♥

Did you have an awesome summer time? I literally sweat my pants off with all the heat in Malaysia, as we have no 4 seasons. We only have 2 seasons, summer and rainy days haha! I really wish I could experience winter season, build a snowman, have snowball fight and watch the snow fall :)

Anyway, whenever we mention about Summer, we will thought about Summer hair = beach waves. I love having beach waves, it always makes our overall look more free-spirited and naturally beautiful. They look fabulous on bohemian style dress day or at a move of polished fancy affair. Basically, anyone can rock the look!

So, this post is going to show you how to get beautiful beach waves with 3 tips and tricks *wink*

1. BRAIDING YOUR HAIR

This is the most easiest way to create beach waves, not to mention, it is very long lasting too!
You can french braid your hair the night before, then loosen your braid the next morning and you will have beautiful beach waves :D

Tips: You can spray your hair with little bit of water, slightly damp, but not soaking wet and then braid your hair and go to bed with the braid in. This will make your beach waves look more shiny and pretty.

The affect will be more of a back and forth wave instead of a tousled, windblown look.

2. TWISTED BUN

Basically, you just have to twist your hair into a bun or create 3-4 little buns (depending on the thickness of your hair) by dividing your hair into sections and secure them with bobby pins.
Once you have taken down your buns, run your fingers through your hair and you are ready to go! Make sure you leave your buns for few hours before taking them down or you can sleep in with your buns and taking them down the next morning :)

3. USE CURLING WAND

If you are in a hurry and have no time to do the 2 above methods, you can always use a curling wand to achieve the beach waves. For those who have the clamp on the curling tool, it's okay. You don't need to go and buy a new clamp-less curling wand. You can just use it as if the clamp wasn't there :D
Grab a piece/section of hair, twist it around the wand and wait 10-15 seconds, then let go. You will be left with flawless beautiful beach wave.

All 3 methods above will leave you with effortlessly chic hair!
I hope you enjoy this kind of post and find it helpful :)

Perfect Ponytail Tutorial for medium length hair

Hello my muffins♥

As most of you already knew that I had my haircut from my previous post. Now I have medium length hair, about breast length, below shoulder. After had my haircut, I found that whenever I put my hair into a ponytail, my hair become like very short EEK! So found some tip about how to have the perfect longer looking ponytail for those who has medium length hair as I do :)

Let's start^^

First, part your hair in upside down U shape starting from behind ear to ear like picture shown above. Then tie a ponytail.

Next, tie the remaining hair into a ponytail about 2 inches above the first ponytail as shown as picture above.

And that is it! You are finish :)

I know what you are thinking, like, what? Feels like nothing at all... But trust me! Keep scroll down and take a look!

The first picture shown is the normal ponytail. And the second picture shown is the trick that I used. Can you see the difference? It's much longer, right? Haha! Oh! I almost forget to tell that this trick looks real with some waves than plain straight hair.

I hope you found this helpful and if you try this trick, please do share with me^^
Thank you for reading~

Manicure Tips: Dry Your Nail Polish Quickly

I like polish my nails since early this year, especially gel manicure. Although the gel manicure is perfect, it doesn't smudge and it won't get dull after a few days like the normal manicure. But the problem is, it's really time consuming to take off the gel if you want to change other color or design. So, I only do gel manicure when I travel or on some special day/event :)

If you've ever painted your nails, and you are not a professional, I believe you know how much effort it takes to get them looking just perfect. Then when you get them perfect, you try your best not to mess them up while they're drying. And just when you thought they're dry, you do something to scratch or dent your newly polished fingers. It happens on me often, and I get so frustrated because I have to redo my nails. URGH!

The most common aid to drying your nail polish quicker is of course, with a quick dry topcoat. And I found something cheaper than the quick dry topcoat, something you already have in your kitchen. That is cold water!

Trust me, it works on me :D

This is how I do:

1. Run water ( any water ) into a bowl ( I use plastic bowl ), large enough for your fingernails to submerged.

2. Place the bowl with water in the fridge for about 1 hour.

3. Paint your nails like you usually did.

4. Slowly sink your fingertips into the water.

5. Keep your fingertips there for at least 3 minutes. It depends on how many coats you apply on your nails. It will feel very cold, but be brave for beauty!

6. When you take your fingertips out, let your fingertips air-dry. Now your nail polish should be rock hard and perfect!

Easy right?
Here's my result...

Thank you for reading and I hope you found this helpful :D

Stay Smooth

It is very annoying when you finish your mani, it looks amazing and then a short time later you can see bubbles in your polish. Here are some ways to avoid that problem…

 1. Don’t shake your polish bottle. Try rolling it between the palms of your hands instead. Shaking the polish can creates a bazillion little bubbles that you can’t see… until they rise!

 2. Avoid thick polish. The thicker the polish, the longer bubbles will take to surface. A new bottle of polish is thinner and the bubbles rise quicker. You can add a couple drops of polish remover to thin out thick polish, but just remember that adding acetone/remover weakens the bond between the polish and your nail.

3. Keep the lids on your polish. Sometimes we forget to screw the lids down while doing nail art or cleaning up the cuticles. The longer you leave the lid off, the more air gets in and the more the polish will thicken and thick polish is a bubble trap!

4. Use a base coat. I don’t think I’ve ever seen bubbles in a base coat. Have you? Laying a proper foundation for your polish is a must when trying to avoid bubbles.

5. Let the first coat dry completely. I have noticed that with some polishes, you have to let the first coat fully dry before applying the second coat to avoid bubbles. If you don’t have time to let the first coat dry entirely, at least make sure you’re using a polish with a “quick dry” label. These are some tricks that have really helped me with manicures.

I hope you will find these helpful. What tricks do you have for avoiding bubbles in your polish?

Stop Being STUBBORN!!!

How to get rid of stubborn blackheads?

First, make sure to scrub your face at least once a week. Most of the blackheads and acne are caused by a build up of dead skin cells, dirt and sebum that get lodged in our pores.
Once pores are clean, it is always good to apply a non-greasy moisturizer that will help balm and reduce the production of excess oil.

HOME-MADE lemonade

When temperatures are soaring, we tend to reach for a bottle of sparkling soft drink. But soft drink is not healthy for our health. Back in the good old days, people used to reach for a nice, cool, glass of lemonade. It is super easy to make one for yourself at home.

For one glass of lemonade:
Mix 1/2 glass lemon juice with 1/2 glass of water,
Add sugar to taste
And if you like the soft drink's nose-tingling fizz, free to add 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda.

Voila! And you are done. Sit back, relax and enjoy your home-made lemonade=]
