My 2019 New Year's Resolutions

Hello my angels ❤

Another New Year means another new resolution for me to plan and hopefully will follow LOL!
Flashing back to my 2018 resolution, I must admit that I had slipped some of them Oops XP Can you guess which one did I slipped in 2018? You might be surprised that I had slipped the easiest one, keeping my phone screen clean (yikes!) Not only that, I had slipped the one I set myself to blog at least once a month. I explained why I skipped for a few months in my "Let's Talk" blog post on August 2018.

Without further ado, let's have a fresh new start :)

Let's Talk❤

Hello my angels

I know it has been a while since the last time I posted in my blog, I want to take some time to sit down, have a little talk and keep you all update what is going on lately. I am not sure how this post is going to end, better go grab your tea and cookies ready *wink* Let Jesus take the wheel.

So, life has been busy lately, work is quite stressful since it is peak season right now, need to rush and all that. But the good news is, I have been promoted *hooray!* I feel very grateful for the promotion :D My job scope is different now but, the only similar task is, keeping an eye on the foreign worker's document (not work pass as before) from getting expire. Other than that, everything is quite new to me and I need to learn from scratch. Thank God I have a wonderful 'tutor' to guide me and teach me whenever I face any struggles.

Since I have been promoted, I thought, it is time to reward myself LOL! I have been eyeing the new Huawei P20 Pro since their product announcement. Well, not that I don't like my iPhone anymore, it just that, the new Huawei P20 Pro features are so damn attracting. With its new triple rear camera lens, co-engineered with Leica, it's the first of its kind in the world. The time when I purchase the P20 Pro, the price reduced from RM 3,399.00 (I believe) to RM 3,112.00.

Not only that, Huawei even gave P20 Pro users limited edition gifts *YASsss*

So pretty with the new Twilight color effect water tumbler and Type-C cable right? I honestly don't even wish to use the water tumbler, so pretty until I feel guilty to use it LOL!!
Initially, I wanted the pink color one. But sadly, Malaysia didn't carry pink color for P20 Pro, only for P20 D':
I'm sure most of you will be curious that why I didn't choose the Twilight edition of the P20 Pro then since we don't have pink color in Malaysia. It's not that the Twilight color is not pretty, it's REALLY pretty, don't get me wrong. It just that, I think I will get bored with the Twilight color after a few months. But the black color one, it looks very classy and never gets out of date. I don't know, it just my own thoughts and opinion.

If you have been following my social media, you will notice that I attend class every weekend for quite some time now. And if you haven't, feel free to follow my Instagram :

as I post/update more often in my social media :D
Yes, I'm back to class haha! It is never too late or too old to study. I never thought in a million years that I will be back on studying. What I'm saying is, sitting in an actual classroom. Throughout the course I'm taking, the most struggling part is, there are so many acts and regulations I need to remember *faint* God help me D:

I understand that nothing comes easy right? But the real challenge to me is, will I work in the similar field on what I studied, or keeping my current job. The reason why I will think that way is because, according to the lecturers and Dr., only 20% of student pass all the exams. My stress level straight away went up when I heard that... Sigh... No matter what, still I will give my all and hope for the best!

That's all, for now, my angels. Don't worry, I have projects and giveaway (as promised) coming very soon. So please stay tuned and make sure to follow my social media for the latest updates *wink*
It's summertime now, have you make any plans for summer holiday? I hope everyone have a nice week ahead and enjoy your summer :)

Hello Twenty Eighteen

Hello my beautiful friends and Happy 2018 ❤

It's the first month of 2018 and I wish everyone a great year ahead!
2017 has been a wonderful year for me. I'm able to find time to blog again, much more active than the year 2016. It honestly feels great, it's like my little escape from everything around me.

Not only that, I'm able to travel overseas again. I didn't travel overseas in the year 2016 as I wanted to stable my day job first and praise the Lord I'm able to do that. I went to Beijing, China for Christmas! But I haven't thought about travel overseas for this year, I have dreams need to chase and hopefully, I'm able to achieve it haha!

For 2018, I wish...

Hello my beautiful friends

6 Things Every Makeup Artist Wishes You Knew

Hello gorgeous

Working as a makeup artist is fun and also a creative job. But there are few things that clients do that kinda get under some (or should I say, most) makeup artists nerves. Let's see what important 6 things that we (makeup artist) wish you all knew.

1. Do my makeup for free
As much as we would want to do your makeup for free, we can't, even friends. Believe it or not, we would like to do your makeup for free. Why? Because we love doing what we do and that is why we pursued this career. Then why can't we do it for free? We've invested a lot of money. We BUY our makeup (they are not cheap, honey)(we don't buy like few only, we buy TONS of makeup like all shades of eyeshadows, foundations, blushers, lipsticks etc) and we PAY makeup academy to learn professional makeup and get certified. We don't get them all for free.

2. I know "someone else" can do it much cheaper
Yes, we all know "someone else" do makeup service with much cheaper price. If you are happy enough to take risk with cheap "someone else", then go for it. Just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Just please, don't use it as a cheap bargaining ploy when you are talking to a professional.

3. I don't like how "she/he" did my makeup
I learned this when I was working in bridal studio and another one when I work for a client who's attending a special event, clients told me she hated how "she" (another makeup artist) did her makeup. After I finished their makeup, I thought to myself, if this situation ever happened to me, I wish my client would tell me honestly if there is anything want to change about the application, just kindly say so. You can say something like, "Do you think you can make my eyeliner a bit thicker?" Don't be afraid to tell or ask.

4. I want discount, more discount!
Discount is okay. But please keep in mind that there is always a limit. More discount? Please refer back to no.1

5. Make my skin silky smooth
We can cover your redness, but there is nothing we can do about skin texture or dullness of your skin (except you already have perfect skin). It really bums me out that a number of clients who ask if I can cover up their puffiness or unhappy with their application cause they still can see the texture of their raised blemishes underneath their foundation. If there was only one thing you must know about makeup, it would be this one. We are not magician, we can't miraculously snap our fingers and change the texture of your skin. Think about painting a wall. Painting a wall doesn't change/remove the texture, right?  But don't worry, you still look beautiful despite a little breakout or puffiness.

6. Let me check my messages
I believe all makeup artists find it soooo frustrating when trying to do a precise eye makeup application, especially eyeliner when client picks up her phone and start texting away. Please, just stay off your phone. You can do that after the eye makeup application is done. In fact, it is best to have a little quite time while makeup artist is doing anything around eyes and mouth. We would really appreciate it :)

*BONUS*
7. "You look short, are you sure you are a professional makeup artist" Eye-look (scanning you from head to toe)
Okay, this might not all makeup artist. But as for me, I often get this ALL-THE-TIME, like 98% as I am really short *sad* Come on people, a person's knowledge does not imply on their height.

So, have you find out anything you do might make you one of "those" client? Haha!
I hope you enjoy reading this post and have a great day!

xoxo,
Berry

THANK YOU

Hello gorgeous

How are you all? I hope you all well :)
Today's post is not a tutorial or a review blog post. I want to sit down and have a little chit chat (?) with all my lovely readers

I have been blogging for 4 years now and I only started to blog seriously in 2012, I think? Haha! When I started this blog, I was... kinda lost, to be honest. I don't know what to blog until I get a lot of questions about makeup stuff in my daily life as that moment I just got back to my hometown after graduated as a professional make up artist. So I thought of hmm...maybe I can blog about makeup and share what I've learn/know and people can just go to my blog and see. That's how I really started blogging :)

As the time pass, my blog pageviews has increased a lot and I look through my pageviews by countries, I always thought that Malaysia will get the most pageviews, as I live in Malaysia XP Surprisingly, I was wrong. I was so shocked that I get most of my pageviews from the United States!

Here, I want to say, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH to all of my United States readers :') Big hearts to your guys
And of course, I want to thank all my lovely readers from other countries too!
MUAAAAAAHHH

Thank you once again and see you all in my next blog post *wink*

Love you~
