[ Review ] 3CE Nail Lacquer : GT15

Hello gorgeous

So it has been a month I tried some 3CE products I bought while I was in Hong Kong. And I think it is time for me to do a review :)

I will be reviewing their pink version of their lipsticks, the original version (black packaging) of their lipstick, their lip gloss, their new version of lip brush and their nail polish. Since there are so many products and it looks kinda confusing and not to mention gonna be super looong blog post, I am going to separate them into few blog post. Plus, you can choose which review you like to see and you can skip on the one that you are not really fancy with *wink*

Click HERE to see other 3CE products review that I bought from Hong Kong :)

When I was browsing through their nail polish section while shopping in Hong Kong, me and my mum were so drawn to Nail Lacquer GT15. Without a thought, my mum bought it XD

 front

back

The packaging is in profession-looking black color with their logo and information printed in white.

The nail polish too, has the sealing sticker on it. It has a matte cap which reminds me of Nars packaging XD The nail polish has big chunky silver and rose gold color glitters that reflect so much light, so pretty! The nail polish feels like gel-like liquid based lacquer, easy to apply and it gives a beautiful shiny finish. Definitely a nail polish to die for!

I absolutely love this nail polish♥ I had so many compliments from friends and family. I really recommend to check this nail polish out cause it's soooooo pretty~!

The nail polish cost me HK$49, about RM 21.

So have you tried any 3CE Nail Lacquer? Share with me, I would love to see yours^^

I thank you very much for visiting :)
Have a nice day!

Manicure Tips: Dry Your Nail Polish Quickly

I like polish my nails since early this year, especially gel manicure. Although the gel manicure is perfect, it doesn't smudge and it won't get dull after a few days like the normal manicure. But the problem is, it's really time consuming to take off the gel if you want to change other color or design. So, I only do gel manicure when I travel or on some special day/event :)

If you've ever painted your nails, and you are not a professional, I believe you know how much effort it takes to get them looking just perfect. Then when you get them perfect, you try your best not to mess them up while they're drying. And just when you thought they're dry, you do something to scratch or dent your newly polished fingers. It happens on me often, and I get so frustrated because I have to redo my nails. URGH!

The most common aid to drying your nail polish quicker is of course, with a quick dry topcoat. And I found something cheaper than the quick dry topcoat, something you already have in your kitchen. That is cold water!

Trust me, it works on me :D

This is how I do:

1. Run water ( any water ) into a bowl ( I use plastic bowl ), large enough for your fingernails to submerged.

2. Place the bowl with water in the fridge for about 1 hour.

3. Paint your nails like you usually did.

4. Slowly sink your fingertips into the water.

5. Keep your fingertips there for at least 3 minutes. It depends on how many coats you apply on your nails. It will feel very cold, but be brave for beauty!

6. When you take your fingertips out, let your fingertips air-dry. Now your nail polish should be rock hard and perfect!

Easy right?
Here's my result...

Thank you for reading and I hope you found this helpful :D

Etude House Haul♥

Hello sugarpie! And hello June♥
It's June already and I really can't wait for July :) I will tell you why when it's July hehe~

So few weeks ago I went to Etude House to pick up some goodies.

I actually have no idea what to buy but I saw it was on sale at the moment. So I bought 4 nail polishes. They were all gorgeously sparkling with loads of glitters^^ Then I bought a beautiful pastel purple eyeshadow. A some sort of smudged eyeshadow/eyeliner remover stick. Last but not least, a Malgem smoother toner. I heard a good review about this, so I'm thinking to give it a try since it's hypo-allergenic .

I bought everything above RM120 and they gave a set of toiletries for free. Not to mention they are so cute and girly♥

Do you like Etude House products?
Happy June everyone☆

Are you Gelish?

Hey gorgeous!

Last year I heard that there was some new kind of nail polish that stayed on natural nails for two or three weeks (or even a month!). I did my research and found that they were all “professional only” products that still meant going in for an expensive manicure every two weeks. This typical gel polish won't damage nails *yay!*, unlike acrylics *Bohoo!*. It sounded like some sort of nail miracle!

Early this year, I finally found some gel polish aka Gelish are much more consumer-friendly. Meaning that the average person who does not have a nail license can now buy these products.

Gelish polish has a gel base that does not air-dry. It will stay sticky unless it’s cured under a special lamp. Here is the cool part: Once you’ve cured your nails, they are completely and unbelievably dry and hard. There is no possibility that your nails will get smudged or get ruined. You take your nails out from under the lamp and you can immediately dig around in your purse for your keys or go straight to bed without getting sheet prints or do the dishes or whatever! How cool is that!!!

To have gelish manicure done, you need to have a special UV or LED light. For myself, I use UV light. These are made especially for nails. Please don’t ask me if you can use a tanning bed or LED flashlight or some weird thing like that. I have no idea. Just spend the money on a real lamp and stop being such a cheapskate.
And of course you are going to need the foundation gel base as well as a special topcoat.

So today, I'm gonna show you guys how to apply Gelish at your home :)

STEP 1

Shape your nails so that your nails are smooth and for your gelish to stay on well.

STEP 2

Clean your nails with the cleanser plus to remove any dirt on your nails.

STEP 3

Apply the foundation gel base. Carefully do not let the foundation gel base get on your skin.

STEP 4

Place your fingers/nails inside the UV or LED light (mine is UV light) to cure them for 2 minutes. I did the thumbs separately, 'cause they wouldn't fit into the lamp with the rest four fingers.

STEP 5

After curing for 2 minutes, your nails should be feel tacky and that's normal, do not worry :)
Simply remove them with the cleanser plus.

STEP 6

Next, apply the choice of your gelish nail polish and repeat STEP 4 :)
I'm using white color gelish here~

STEP 7

Apply the gel topcoat and repeat STEP 4.

STEP 8

Remove the tacky surface of the nails with the cleanser plus.

And voila!

You are finish with the gelish nail *heart*

Your nails are now dry and you can continue doing whatever you want. No more drying time. And the shine! It's amazing!

Let's see what are the good points of using a gel top coat and what are the downsides :

PROS:
+ Longer lasting manicure.
+ It's easy and quick.
+ Amazing shine of the manicure.
+ No air-drying time.

CONS:
- The removal takes time.
- Possible nail damage that comes with the removal.  So have to be extra careful!

What do you think about this gelish manicure?

Thank you for reading and feel free to ask me any questions in my FB page or leave your comments down below :)

Nail Of The Month & Some Comments...

Hello lovelies♡

Today morning I went to a nail salon to clean my previous gel mani and get a fresh one. I texted the owner(boss) of the nail salon to make an appointment and she's having her day off today. So I just let one of her stuff to get my gel mani done cause my previous gel nails was like a month old already. Yuck! I know I should clean them already but I'd been here and there for the past few weeks. Finally I get the time to get them (my nails) done today.

I believe everyone is curious about how to remove those gel on your nails. The process of taking off gel nails is to wrap your nails with soaked acetone cotton wool with a foil. After few minutes, just take those cotton and foil away. Then you'll see the gel on your nails starting to like... peeling but not completely peel off. You need to use the pusher to something like push them, or in other word scratch them off. I know it sounds horrify but trust me, just gently few push and they are all gone.

Because of my nails are all long so I ask the manicurist to trim them short a bit. And guess what... She keep snap snap snap and snap my poor thumb meat!!! I was like ARGH! Luckily my thumb didn't bleed but obviously can see the meat been snap off half way. Come on, it's really f-ing painful and the manicurist didn't even apologise and act like nothing is wrong. I was so worried and pissed at that moment. Until now my thumb still hurt urgh! Next time I'm gonna trim my own nails even the manicurist insist!

Okay not only that, I think she miss a step during apply the gel color. Three, 3 nails after cured with the LED light, they looked wrinkled and not polish looking. She tried to buff them but it won't work so she has to take them off and re-do them. One of the finger is my hurt thumb! Since my thumb is hurt already, still have to go through the soaked acetone wrap around it. The process is nerve wrecking! Too painful but I can make any biatch reaction cause I wanna hurry and end this nightmare asap!

So after all the drama is over, another manicurist came to draw some little flowers art that I request. Because the previous one who hurt my thumb can't draw flowers. Thank God the result is what I expected beautiful. If not, I think I'll find another nail salon or just complain to the owner about the service her stuff provided.

I really love the nail art! So lovely and girly, just what I want :D

But the service... sigh... I honestly still prefer the owner to get my nails done. She is flawless and awesome! For those who are going to pay a visit to "this" nail salon, I suggest you guys to choose the owner for the best service~

Oh my gosh! I just can't take my eyes off my pretty nails LOL!!!

Have a nice week ahead *hearts*

My Nails♡

Hai gorgeous♥

You know what accessories very in trend now?

Nails!

You can see many Hollywood stars nowadays having their nails well polished. Even Demi Lovato too! If you watch X Factor, you'll notice Demi Lovato got her nails polished everytime.

Before I'm obsessed getting my nails polished every week with different colors. Until last year I was so lazy and not really in the mood for nails. This year, I think my nail obsession is coming back!

If you follow me in my Facebook or my Instagram, you can see I'd posted a picture of my beautiful gel mani♡ I never had gel mani before... Since I'll be travelling to KL this Sunday and I am thinking to try gel mani. Here's a picture of my gel mani incase you miss it...

Ain't that gorgeous? LOL!

I had my nails done at J-nail. I believe majority of you (Sdk citizen) heard of this popular nail salon. They have the best manicurist in town.

I absolutely love gel mani. Not only it is more healthier for our nails but they tend to keep our mani glossy that normal mani doesn't. I think i'm obsessed with gel nails now.

Although the price is prici-er than normal mani do but the result is very pretty. It doesn't chip and last very long time. I think I am going to buy myself a set of gel starter kit something like that so I can do it myself. Hmm... I'll think about that :)

Have you guys tried gel mani?
How is your experience with gel mani?
Let me know :)

Stay Smooth

It is very annoying when you finish your mani, it looks amazing and then a short time later you can see bubbles in your polish. Here are some ways to avoid that problem…

 1. Don’t shake your polish bottle. Try rolling it between the palms of your hands instead. Shaking the polish can creates a bazillion little bubbles that you can’t see… until they rise!

 2. Avoid thick polish. The thicker the polish, the longer bubbles will take to surface. A new bottle of polish is thinner and the bubbles rise quicker. You can add a couple drops of polish remover to thin out thick polish, but just remember that adding acetone/remover weakens the bond between the polish and your nail.

3. Keep the lids on your polish. Sometimes we forget to screw the lids down while doing nail art or cleaning up the cuticles. The longer you leave the lid off, the more air gets in and the more the polish will thicken and thick polish is a bubble trap!

4. Use a base coat. I don’t think I’ve ever seen bubbles in a base coat. Have you? Laying a proper foundation for your polish is a must when trying to avoid bubbles.

5. Let the first coat dry completely. I have noticed that with some polishes, you have to let the first coat fully dry before applying the second coat to avoid bubbles. If you don’t have time to let the first coat dry entirely, at least make sure you’re using a polish with a “quick dry” label. These are some tricks that have really helped me with manicures.

I hope you will find these helpful. What tricks do you have for avoiding bubbles in your polish?

Top: Chunk of glitters? Haha! from Naga Nail

NOTD : Snow Glitter ( November 21st )

This nail art inspired by the winter season. I love snow and glitters. So I come up with something as below. I used SkinFood nail varnish in fine glittery pearl white with Ianti nail varnish in silver glitter to make a 2-tone french nail. After that I placed some random Swarovski Crystals on my ring finger just to give the whole look a pop=]

NOTD-October 17th

I have SkinFood nail polish in blue as the base, OPI Shatter in black on top of it and finish with Elianto's top coat.
