[ Review ] Dr. Jart+ Nourishing Black Label BB Cream

Hello muffins

As shown in the title, yes I am going to review the Dr. Jart+ Nourishing Black Label BB Cream. Dr. Jart+ was one of the few brands that produced BB creams back then, and their BB creams have become phenomenon worldwide! I haven't get the chance to try it out until now. I'm really excited to try it out since there has been a lot of hype going on :)

The one I bought is the new upgrade of their Black Label BB Cream which they launched in 2012.

The newly upgraded BB cream will see an upgrade in terms of formulation, shade, technology, cruelty-free (Yay!) and 4-free system. The Dr. Jart+ Nourishing Black Label BB Cream is a triple function BB cream that offers whitening, wrinkle improvement and SPF 25 PA+++ UV protection.
It claims that it has the ability to improve the condition of your skin by keeping it well moisturize and supplying it with rich nutrients.

Let's check it out how it performs on my skin :)

First, we check out their...

❤ Packaging

It has a clean white color box with brand name and details printed with black in color.

You can check out their ingredients at the back of the box.

The other side is full of details that's in Hankuk that I don't understand :(

At the bottom, you can find the manufactured date and expiry date.

I must say their new upgraded Black Label BB Cream has a beautiful slim and sleek plastic squeeze tube packaging

❤ Texture ❤
The consistency of the BB cream is thick gel-cream-like. It is a little bit difficult for me to spread it around my face at first. But it doesn't feels like tugging my skin though.

❤ Color
Unfortunately, this BB cream comes with one shade only. It goes towards more fairer skin tone like MAC NC15-NW20. One thing I like about this BB cream shade is, it doesn't looks like washed out my face and it match nicely on my skin tone :) Lucky me!
The coverage is medium to medium-high. It doesn't really cover up all my freckles but it does covers up some of my red marks and dark spots. I still need concealer to cover up my heavy dark circles.

❤ Swatch

As you can see, it blends beautifully on my wrist. It gives a dewy looking finish as Korean artists have. If you like matte finish, you need to powder it after applying this BB cream.

❤ Overall
After using this for a week, I really do feel my skin is more smooth. It really nourished my skin, just like what it claims! And I see no dry patches on my T-zone area, which I get a lot. Most importantly is, it doesn't react on my sensitive skin and it doesn't break me out *thumbs up*

It is great for normal to dry skin. As for oily skin, I'm not really sure how it will perform. I personally think that you need to powder it for babes who have oily skin. The staying power though, it last me about 6-8 hours, with 1 touch-up only at the side of my lips :) It's really good I must say! But still, you need to set it with powder if you are in a humid weather for extra staying power.
