This is a really late post of my Michael Kors bag unboxing. And since I have owned it on Christmas last year, I thought it is nice to give everyone a little review of the bag as well.
If you like to see what bag I got, please keep on scrolling *wink*
When you make a purchase at the Michael Kors store, they will pack your bag nicely in a sturdy box with the Michael Kors shopping bag. I realised that for the smaller bags, they will give you a magnetic box, which I am much prefer as it is much more convenient for me when I want to use my bag or place it back into the box.
I really like that my SA packs my bag with a lot of their tissue papers. It keeps that bag from moving around in the box.
One thing that bothers me is their receipt. Their receipt is same as Fossil one. I thought their receipt will be something like the previous LV and Prada that I owned. With this kind of receipt, you need to keep a copy of it cause their ink will slowly fade in time. I got my bag in KK Time Square Imago and I have blurred out the price of the bag. Cause some people can be very sensitive to the price of the bag. As per usual, if you like to know the price of it, you may privately contact me *wink*
So I guess you already know what bag I got for Christmas in the receipt.
Ta-dahhh!!
It is Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Saffiano Leather Smartphone Crossbody bag. The bag is made from 100 % cow leather and I chose the gold tone hardware.
The size of the bag is 7 inch x 5 inch x 1.5 inch. It is not a big bag but enough to carry everyday essentials. I like the saffiano leather texture just like Prada, won't get your bag scratch that easily. There is a Michael Kors name embossed in front of the bag.
And at the back of the bag has a big tight slit pocket. I usually place some receipts in it and during the Chinese New Year, I place my red pockets in the slit pocket as well and it fits nicely hahaha!
I find this bag is quite unique as the strap is made of half chain, half leather. The chain has a weight to it and it doesn't feels like it's made from cheap material.
The strap is adjustable from 23" to 25" drop.
You can see there is Michael Kors name imprint at the side of the buckle and I'm not really fancy about their buckle, to be honest. Let me zoom zoom for you why I don't like their buckle...
Can you see? This guy over here is so annoying! No matter how I try, it will still come out like that *roll eyes*
I thought to myself, maybe it's because of their leather is too stiff? I don't know. Is there anyone here who owned a crossbody Michael Kors bag having the same issue with me? Or am I the only one here? Even the Selma bag I use having the same issue with their buckle on the strap. What drives me even crazy is the leather strap itself.
I'm a very short girl and whatever bag that comes with a strap, I will adjust it to the shortest length. And look at this strap... It won't stay flat nicely URGH!!!
Same goes with the Selma bag. The Selma bag even worst than this until I don't even want to use the bag anymore (Okay, maybe I'm just being annoying and picky here). But, I will use it maybe like, once in a blue moon.
The only way to get the strap stay flat is I tie the extra strap on the strap with a black rubber band. You won't notice the rubber band from afar, but if you look at it up close, you will notice there is a rubber band there. Oh well, at least it gets the strap fix.
Okay, enough with the negatives. Moving on to the good part, the bag itself.
The bag has a snap button closure and the strap is removable with the snap button as well. So whenever I don't feel like want to use the strap, I will take it off and use it as a normal wallet. Oh did I mention that I use this bag as wallet on chain? It's so convenient for me to use this bag as a wallet on chain. I don't have to keep changing my wallet to fit which bag I use *thumbs up*
The bag consist of 3 main compartments.
And on the inner flap of the bag, there is Michael Kors name imprinted on it.
The first compartment has 6 credit card slots and this compartment is where I put my money.
Behind the first compartment, there is a slit pocket. Inside the slit pocket, you will see their fabric lining fills with MK logo. I don't usual keep stuff in here as it has not much space to it.
As for the second compartment, it is a pocket specially design for your cell phone. Otherwise, it won't call this bag a smartphone crossbody aye? Haha! I like it!
As for the last compartment, the size of it is same as the first compartment. I like to put my daily essentials such as a concealer with a mirror, a pack of tissue, eye drop and a lipstick. Sounds like I have a wallet and a makeup bag 2 in 1 on the go LOL! This is what I like about this bag, I don't need to carry 2 or even 3 different bags when I can have all in this one small bag.
On the last compartment, they have a zip pocket too. I like to keep all those coins in here for easy access.
And inside the zip pocket is made with the same fabric that full with MK logo.
I am very thankful and blessed to own this bag although it is not YSL or Chanel wallet on chain. It is a very meaningful bag to me cause it is a Christmas present from my boyfriend. Well, can't say it's fully from him as I do pay some by myself as well. You must be very curious why XP This bag I wanted for some time but I didn't take the plunge. Cause I don't want to buy a bag and not using it, giving the love that it deserves. Until me and my boyfriend make a bet. If I win, he will reward me this bag as a Christmas present. If I lose, I get another present for Christmas. But at the end, our bet was kinda in a tie, so we split the bill. That's how I got this bag :D
Here's an overview idea on where the bag lay when I wear it crossbody. I am really short, even though I adjust the strap to the shortest length, it still looks very long and dangling below my butt area. Despite there are few cons about this bag, I still love this bag as it is very convenient and there's a little story behind this bag XD
I hope you all found this post helpful and have a great day :D
xoxo,
Berry❤️
