Tinted lip balm is a great alternative for those (like me) who don't regularly wear lipstick. So, there are so many kinds of lip balm out there, but it can be hard to find the right one, especially me. Because I have allergy and most of the lip balm out there doesn't suit my sensitive lip due to the alcohol and fragrance in the ingredients BOOHOO!
What's the solution?
Make your own, of course :D
It is surprisingly easy to make and...quite addictive I must say haha! All you need is a base of beeswax or coconut oil, shea butter or cocoa butter, a tint and a flavor(optional).
Keep scrolling to see how I make my own Tinted Lip Balm♥
This is how I prepare before I start *excited*
> a spatula (my make up spatula hehe) : For mixing and stirring
> big spoon : Use as a cooking base
> candle : For heating
> small bowl : To place your candle so you don't need to worry getting dirty your place/table
> an empty lipstick container : To place your tinted lip balm
> lipstick/tint
> Egyptian Cream : I am too lazy to go out and find all the ingredients so I use EMC since all the important ingredients are in EMC. Plus, it's all natural *thumbs up*
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Make sure to clean your container.
2. (This is up to you) Take 1:6 of lipstick/tint and the EMC.
3. Light up the candle.
4. Melt the ingredients like picture shown above and stir gently until melted.
5. Once melted, carefully transfer the melted mixture into the lipstick container. Let them cool for about half hour.
And you are finished!
This is my finish product^^
Here's a swatch~
