Products I Regret Buying

Today, I wanted to blog about something different than I usually do. I wanted to blog about products I regret buying. Because I am a freelance MUA, I like to experimenting with new make up or trying out new skincare. So, among all I have tried, of course there are some products I didn't like. Well, not that I hate the products, it just I'm not a big fan of them and kinda toss them aside and didn't use them as much.

Before I continue, I do want to say that I have nothing against these brands, it just these certain products doesn't work out for me, whether it's because of my skin type or the color of the product I chose. We all have different skin types, so please keep in mind that these certain products doesn't work out for me, doesn't mean that they won't work for you too :)

Let's start with my most recent haul :) It is the Clinique Anti-Blemish Solution.

This should be treat your blemishes and preventing them. I got blemishes because of the bad weather over here so I do my research online trying to find a moisturizer that can treat blemishes and safe for sensitive skin. And this pops out so without having second thought, I quickly made a purchase online at the Clinique e-store. But sadly, it doesn't do what it claims to be. The worst part is...I got rashes after just the first time I use it WTF! I thought Clinique's products are 100% safe for allergy skin?! But clearly this is not. I am so afraid to use this now and I don't know what should I do with it since I can't return in back because in the return policy, it clearly state that used product is not returnable :( 


Next, is the Clinique (again) Moisture Surge CC Cream Swirl Compact SPF 30 PA+++

Yea I was so sad that this CC cream does not work for me. I really want this to work because it cost me a lot for a CC cream :(

As you can see in the picture above, I only used a few times and now, I have no idea what to do with it but to leave it aside and grow dust.


Moving on, is the popular Snail White.

I know many people will get shocked when I say Snail White. It is so popular in Thailand and Hong Kong and other countries because snail slime can heal and gives moisture. I even use snail mask and I got them stock up enough for half year supply haha! And because I love snail mask so much, I thought why don't try the Snail White. It contains snail slime too and loved by so many people and even celebrities! This thing don't come cheap I must say. So I have really high hopes for this one. Unfortunately, this does nothing, yes, N.O.T.H.I.N.G on my face. I feel like, this is not cheap and it should work as other people does D: I don't think this is moisturizing enough. Sigh... I don't get it why with all the hypes people talking about this, it just work nothing on my face :(


So the next thing is Unico Pearl Scar Cream.

I got this one is because one of friend use it as everyday moisturizer and her face was amazingly flawless! And she did warn me about one of her friend use this and got allergy reaction on this cream. So I bought the small size just to try it out see whether my skin reacts on it or not. And guess what, my face itch like nobody else business. I was so sad! 

This friggin cream cost me RM98 for friggin 7g WTF!!! I feel so guilty to throw it away so I gave my mum to use it. My mum was so lucky! Her skin loves the cream and didn't react. 

You can see how tiny is this cream T.T


The next product is from the well-known MUFE full coverage concealer.

The reason why I bought this is because I have really stubborn under eye dark circles and after searching online, this is what they come up. It says, this concealer can conceal anything, even a tattoo! Without having second thought, I bought it in Sephora. The price is okay for me cause it is a big tube for a concealer and if it works, why not? So, I apply it a little bit under my eye as all the reviewers said that you only need the tiniest bit because it is a full coverage concealer. After about few seconds let it dry, it crease like desert under my eye!!! And I wonder why people recommend using this thing under the eye while it dries matte. I don't think this even work for pimples because, let's be honest, the pimple will dry up eventually and when you apply something matte on it, it will accentuate the flakiness and you don't look pretty with it. 


Moving on is a product I bought from Taiwan.

Ettusais BB Mineral Cream. I believe this is not available in Malaysia yet at the moment I bought it. When I went to Taiwan for vacation, my skin got soooooo dry and my BB cream feels dry and yuck on my skin. So I have to buy something to replace my BB cream temporary. This BB cream was recommend by the SA in the shopping mall I went. I swatch some on my hand and it feels good. Plus, she says it's good for sensitive skin. I quickly bought it and the second day, I apply this BB mineral cream. I like the coverage it gives. But, I feel like tugging my skin when I apply this. So sad! Even my boyfie also notice how dry this thing made my face. He even says I look like have heavy foundation on, which is not flattering at all. I stop using it on the third day and back to my old BB cream.


Next product is a skincare I bought from Taiwan too.

It's called Lady&Skin Perfect Clear Peeling Gel. Basically it is a gentle exfoliator. I never heard the brand before, when I look at the packaging, it is from Korea. I try the sample on the back of my hand and it was amazing! It exfoliate your dead skin and you can see your dead skin is like the eraser dust (if you know what I mean) When I got home and try this thing out, I love it! But after a few minutes, my face start to feel itchy. I know it was this product made my face feel itchy because I use no new product other than this. So, another great product but my face just hate it.


The next product is a very popular product, and I bet you will feel shocked!

Yes, it is the Etude House CC Cream in Silky. It tugs my skin when I apply this and it leaves an obvious white cast on my face! Even my cousin with oily skin doesn't work for her too! I guess this works on normal skin type only :( You must be thinking, if I don't like this stuff, why so dirty looking and almost finish the tube? Well, I gave it to mum again haha! Surprisingly, it works on my mum's face! HOW LUCKY!!! She use it everyday in the morning when she going out. It's good that when some products don't work for me, but works for my mum. I don't have to toss it away and just give them to my mum :)


Okay, the second last product is Majolica Majorca cute little blush in Orange color.

Look at that cute packaging!!!

When I say in Orange color, I really mean it. It is too orange for my skin tone and looks so weird! Because of the cute packaging, I keep it in my makeup collection and just for display only :P


Finally, the last product I regret buying is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara 01 Black in sample size.

When I first apply it, it was really wonderful! I love it! But then, thank God I bought the sample size only. This mascara weights down my lashes! It does lengthen, but it doesn't curl and the formula is too heavy for my lashes. Uh-uh, no...just no...


So these are the products I regret buying.
