[ Review ] 3CE PINK EDITION Lip Color : #309 Celebrity, #408 Chu Chu, #608 Hala

So it has been a month I tried some 3CE products I bought while I was in Hong Kong. And I think it is time for me to do a review :)

I will be reviewing their pink version of their lipsticks, the original version (black packaging) of their lipstick, their lip gloss, their new version of lip brush and their nail polish. Since there are so many products and it looks kinda confusing and not to mention gonna be super looong blog post, I am going to separate them into few blog post. Plus, you can choose which review you like to see and you can skip on the one that you are not really fancy with *wink*

As Stylenanda lovers has noticed, 3CE Pink Edition Lip Color is one of the hottest product in 3CE Pink Edition because of their rich and vivid colors on the lips. 3CE Pink Edition Lip Color comes in 2 types: Original and Matte. The original one includes a moist texture as well as rich color, the top advantage of the lipstick. Well, as for the matte one, it has a primer matte texture helping colors to stay vividly.

They have pink color all over the packaging for the Pink Edition and me likey~

At the bottom has each lipstick's numbering and name.

While at the back of the packaging has all the information printed in some English, but mostly Hangeul, which I don't understand :(

The lipstick comes in glossy, square-looking tube instead of the usual circular tube, which helps to prevent the lipstick from rolling off the surface. And with their 3CE logo printed at the front of the lipstick tube in black.

You can find their names and numbering at the bottom of each lipsticks.

Same as purchasing your lipstick online, even you buy from their actual store, you will find the sealing sticker (to show it is authentic product) at the side of each lipstick.

❤ Texture ❤  

I find that 2 out 3 lipsticks from the ones I bought are quite powdery on the lips, #309 Celebrity and #608 Hala. And as for moisturizing, so so only because I have dry and chapped lips. The first time I apply #309 Celebrity and #608 Hala, the lipsticks cling on my dry area and they exaggerate the fine lines on my lips. I wasn't happy with it so I try the 2nd time after I scrub my lips and moisturize my lips properly. The result was...it is better than the first application. But still, they have the powdery feel and look on my lips. I don't know what's wrong with these 2 lipsticks or just my lips.

As for the  #408 Chu Chu, it glides on beautifully on the lips and I really loves it! I doesn't dry out my lips or exaggerate the fine lines on my lips. I just love this one so much!

❤ Color ❤

 

The colors were really beautiful rich and vivid as it claims. Except for #608 Hala, it was not pigmented at all, you must re-apply few times to see the color. But every time I re-apply, it kinda glides off the previous layer that I have applied :( It kinda disappoint me because I really really love this shade and looks beautiful on the model sob!  I must warn that #408 Chu Chu is soooo pigmented that it stains your lips and because it stains, it has the longest staying power on the lips.

❤ Swatch ❤

As you can see the swatches on my arm, they swatch beautifully and very moisturizing looking. But when you apply them on the lips, the #608 Hala was a different story. I think I have applied at least 4-5 layers for #608 Hala, no kidding. The #309 Celebrity and #408 Chu Chu look beautiful on the lips, especially #408 Chu Chu (I'm in love with this shade). It has a glossy effect, so you can skip the lip gloss for this :)

❤ Overall ❤

Overall I think their Pink Edition lipsticks were really pretty and easy to work with, except for #608 Hala. But still, can make it work unless you scrub your lips properly and apply a lip balm before applying #608 Hala and finish it off with a lip gloss. I use their Glass Gloss right after #608 Hala and it looks so beautiful on my lips and I really like the color. I just hope it wasn't that powdery on the lips :( Other than that, yea, #408 Chu Chu is my favorite one and I think girls really should try this shade *wink*

Price: HK$ 159 ( so it's about RM 66 )

Overall: #309 Celebrity 8/10 | #408 Chu Chu 9/10 | #608 Hala 4/10 (I give 2 because of the pink packaging and another 2 it works only with lip gloss after applying it)

Pros: Pretty pink packaging

     #408 Chu Chu is moisturizing on the lips

     #408 Chu Chu and #309 Celebrity are very pigmented and vivid

     #408 Chu Chu is very long lasting

Cons: Only available in online store for Malaysia

     Unable to do swatches before purchasing if you are in Malaysia, cause we have no actual store

     Price is kinda expensive, can buy MAC lipstick already for their price

     #408 Hala is really powdery and not as pigmented as the other 2
